Carl J Bender

Carl J Bender, 81, of Massillon passed away January 22, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Born November 28, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Mary Jane (Pasternack) Wood.  He attended both Timken and McKinley High School. Carl was a retiree of the Timken Company.  Carl was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather. Always the life of the party.  He loved to bowl, golf, and his hot rod.

In addition to his mother, Carl is preceded in death by his stepfather, Roger Wood and daughters, Sherry Godfrey and Lisa Biery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Linda (McNeel) Bender; son, Carl (Marilyn) Bender; daughters, Shelley Bender, Lori (Donald Slomsky) Bender; son-in-law, Mike Biery; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held by the family.
