Cara Berghorst

Cara Alexandra Berghorst, 34, of Holland, MI, passed away on February 23

Cara was born to John Falor II and Dawn Walker in Lake Forest, IL. After graduating from Holland High School in 2006, she went on to study Political Science at Grand Valley State University.

After graduation, she became a big part of the Holland community, working in the service industry, as well as being involved at the VFW Post#2144, the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club, and private events in the area.

Cara was revered for her spunk, charismatic personality, ambitious energy and ability to adapt in any environment. To know her was to know she never met a stranger and with her kind spirit, she would always extend a hand to anyone she crossed paths with who may have been in need.

In 2010, she met Nick Berghorst, and years later welcomed into the world their beloved daughter, Cambria. They solidified their love and wed in 2013 and were inseparable ever since.

Her love, kindness and compassion for others were shown, and live on through her many friendships and relationships of the lives she’s touched. She will forever be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Nick; her daughter, Cambria; her parents John and Dawn; her mother-in-law Sherry Arnold (Mark) and father-in-law Steve Berghorst (Vickie); her sister Cassandra and brother Gerrit; her sister-in-law Megan; and her nieces Nevaeh and Serenity.
