Thomas P. Cerjak
Tom Cerjak, age 68 of Macedonia, Ohio and Leland, North Carolina. Tom died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at home of melanoma cancer under the care of Grace Hospice. He fought a good fight and he kept the faith throughout his three-year journey. He was known for his infectious laugh and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife Judy Williams-Cerjak; his mother Carmela of Hudson; his children, Jason of Fargo, ND, and Leslie (Anthony) Ritz of Mentor; three grandchildren – Jaede, AJ, and Gino Ritz; siblings Frank (Marsha, deceased) of Indianapolis; Judy (Don) Sewell of Stow; and David (Donna) of Louisville, KY: nieces and nephews Chris Cerjak, Joe Sewell, Kate (Sewell) Sommers, John Cerjak, and Jennie Cerjak. Tom was preceded in death by his father Frank Cerjak, Sr.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, The Ohio State University, and Case Western University.
Tom and his wife were members of First Congregational Church of Hudson and Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington, NC. Rev. Dr. Peter Wiley will be officiating the service at 10:30 am. on Thursday, December 21 at First Congregational Church, 47 Aurora Street, Hudson. A reception with refreshments will immediately follow in Fellowship Hall. A Celebration of Life party in Tom’s honor will occur at a later date in North Carolina.
