Vintondale, Cambria County, PA on March 24, 1922. She was the daughter of Oscar Dishong and Frances Donahue. granddaughter of Noah Dishong and Amanda Rose of Cambria County, PA and Jacob Donahue and Maria Braddock of Indiana County, PA.
She loved music (especially polka) as well as reading, traveling and spending time with

She loved all of God’s creatures rescuing many through the years. She always said a house is not a home without a dog so there was always a loyal 4 legged companion by her side that was loved and doted on. There will be quite the reunion at the Rainbow Bridge. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She worked at Oak Rubber in Ravenna supporting the war effort during World War II before marrying Gora Commadore Westfall on February 20th, 1946. She then became a busy homemaker raising their 4 children.

5 Tributes to Mildred Cecilia (Dishong) Westfall

  1. Larry J. Repass says:

Midge, was one of the strongest person I have ever known. The loss of her hubsand when she was 52 years old forced her to learn quickly all the things that he once handled. She loved to travel and see different places. One of her most cherish memories was finding out were her brother Charles who was killed in World War II was buried. When she found out she traveled to the American Cemetery in Florence, Itlay to see his grave and to finally be able to say her goodby and have closure.

  2. Marcia (Marcy)Corzine says:

    Dear Mom,
I will miss you immensely. Since dad died in 1974 its been me and you and even though we knew our time on earth would end I was still so unprepared to say Good-bye. Fly high among the angels mom with all the family who went before you and some day we will all dine at God’s table. I love you.

  3. Marcia (Marcy)Corzine says:

    Dear Mom,
Its been me and you since Dad’s passing in 1974 and you were always there for me and my kids. You were always giving and wanting the best for us. I can’t believe I will no longer see your face, hear your cute little giggle or hear the stories from your childhood. I know you were tired and ready to see all your loved ones who left this earth before you and though I knew time was growing short I was still so unprepared to say goodbye. Fly high with the angels Mom and some day we will all dine at God’s table. I love you.
