Jessica Ann Ritz

Born: 07/04/1976 Passed:

Jessica Ritz

Jessica Ritz, beloved daughter of Jim and Ginny Ritz of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully June 25th with mom, dad, and her big brother Jason by her side.  She was admitted to the hospital with vision trouble and died of surgery related complications two weeks later, just short of her 40th birthday.

Jessica had a great sense of humor and loved to kid around and tell silly jokes.  She was an avid photographer and artist, a great yard sale shopper and bluegill fisherman.  Her compassion led to selflessly helping friends in need and rescuing homeless kitties.  Always a kid at heart, she loved to play with her little second cousins and two young nephews more than anything.

We hope friends and family will join us for a 4:00 pm memorial service on Friday July 1st, and a meal afterwards at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2220 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH.  Parking is available in the parking deck on 2nd St. across from the church. In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be to Paws & Prayers Rescue, 1407A Main St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Condolences and special memories may be shared online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com.

  3. Linda (Losch) Buskirk says:

Dear Jim, Ginny and Jason: I am so sorry for your loss. My mom, Mary Losch, knew Jessica much more than I. Mom loved her and always kept me updated on Jessica’s life, and Jason’s too, when Mom was still in Cuyahoga Falls. In the book 90 Minutes in Heaven, the author describes his short experience when he was declared dead in a car crash. Those who came to meet him at heaven’s gate were people who had influenced his life and faith journey. I believe my Mom was there to welcome Jessica into heaven along with many others who love her. Karen Johnson says Mary is probably making Jessica waffles! I know this does not erase your pain, but I pray that you find peace in it. May you somehow experience God’s peace and love today and always.
