Glenn D. Johnson

Glenn D. Johnson, 90, of Doylestown, Ohio went to heaven on December 27, 2017.  He was an exceptional husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn.  He leaves behind his sons, Dave and Dan (Cheryl), brother Harold (Barb), grandson Adam Burrows (Rachel), brother-in-law Bill Boalich, sister-in-law Evelyn Rilling, cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Glenn was a World War II Veteran.  He was employed most of his work life as a printer for F. W. Worth and Allied.  He also worked with his sons in their fishing tackle business.  He held other jobs including custodian at Seven Stories East where he worked until age 78.

He was first and foremost a Christian.  He taught Sunday School and sang in two versions of The Echoes of Heaven Quartet, the latter with his two sons and Larry Arnold.  He loved to sing in the choir at First Church of God in Tallmadge where he attended since his teens.

There will be no services, just a small family farewell.  Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron.
